Sports & Myoskeletal Alignment 45min/60min

Myo refers to muscles and fascia, and skeletal refers to spinal biomechanics. Myoskeletal alignment is based on the reflexogenic relationship of muscles, ligaments and joints. For the effective relief of common pain conditions that primarily affect the neck and back. MAT aims to achieve goals that include balancing the head on the neck, balancing the neck on the shoulders, balancing the shoulder girdle on the rib cage, balancing the pelvis on the rib cage and restoring pain-free movement.

Ashiatsu
60min

Ashiatsu, meaning “foot pressure”, was associated with Keralite foot massage called “Chavutti Thirummal”. This modality was given in conjunction with following the energy lines, similar to Thai bodywork. Ashiatsu was done in Kerala, India, as part of a martial art training.

This is a unique massage using the feet instead of hands. The practitioner holds onto bars placed overhead and gives the massage with their feet. After applying an Ashiatsu cream, the practitioner uses body weight to work on the energy lines focusing on muscle and bone alignment. A session consists of Swedish effleurage with deep therapeutic compression, stimulating the immune system and reducing chronic muscle pain.

Contraindications: pregnancy, skin infections or ulcerations, inflammations, varicose veins, phlebitis, thrombosis, hypertension, spondylolisthesis, hemophilia, hyper-irritability syndrome, protruding and ruptured discs, osteoporosis (advance stage), diabetes (advance stage), and recent surgeries.

Biomagnetism Therapy
90-120min

Biomagnetism is a holistic therapy that can regulate pH balances within the body eliminating disease supporting environments, promoting homeostasis, and stimulating the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

Biomagnetism Therapy balances the pH using medium intensity magnets. It stimulates normal system functions, increases circulation and oxygen, normalizes the body’s inflammatory response, stimulates detoxification pathways, and helps release emotional traumas stored deep in the body’s memory.

Gua Sha
45min

Oil is applied to the skin & treated with a porcelain spoon. The strokes are smooth and firm, but gentle. Sha is defined as red splotches that appear on the skin from rubbing a spoon repeatedly over the affected area. Blood flow is decreased anytime we have a spasm or injury. Both lactic and uric acid can get trapped underneath the skin or within a bound muscle due to lack of drainage caused by decreased blood flow. This Sha is a positive sign for an initial treatment, because it allows you to know changes are happening in the underlying muscle tissue and fascia. Gua Sha can treat systemic toxicity, poor circulation, physical and emotional stress, and migraines.

MPS Pain & Scar Therapy
45min

MPS combines the principles of acupuncture and neurology with microcurrent stimulation. MPS detects and treats acupuncture and trigger points to relax muscles, calm the nervous system and release endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers. Most patients require 2-10 treatments for lasting outcomes, with some chronic patients requiring ongoing daily or bi-weekly applications. Also proven highly effective in treating scars and adhesions.

Medicupping Lymphatic Drainage
60min

This treatment could help the body flush out Solid Bloat by reducing its side effects and rehydrating the tissues. Solid Bloat is layers of accumulation of stagnant lymph, blood and debris. Stagnation is found in muscles, in the skin layers and in the connective tissue. Solid Bloat is often caused by inflammation which leads to dehydration of the tissues and the inability of the lymphatic system to eliminate debris. Blood stagnation is caused by micro-tears in compromised soft tissue, old injuries or surgeries, and even being bedridden for an extended period of time due to illness. Cellulite is often stagnant lymph and debris that can be a lifetime accumulation of old medications, anesthesia, smoke or other inhaled contaminants and cellular wastes. All of this stored material will aggravate the immune system and liver, leading to more inflammation.

VacuTherapy enables water absorption and renewed blood flow to undernourished and dehydrated tissue, as well as elimination of old waste and congestion. The suction releases soft tissue, scars and restricted fascia. Athletes benefit from the ease of recovery from injury or surgery and increase in athletic performance. The treatment sedates the nervous system, which is beneficial for those with high blood pressure, anxiety, insomnia, chronic headaches, neuralgia and fibromyalgia.

Thai Bodywork
90min

Thai bodywork is a deep treatment, which includes both stretching of the joints and muscles, and applied pressure to the sen lines. Sen lines are energy lines somewhat like the meridians used in reflexology and shiatsu. Thai bodywork is done on a firm, supportive mat on the floor. Patients need to wear loose clothing, such as gym attire.
